FAQ

About Legmaster

The handlebars should be set at a height to lightly rest your hands and to aid with your balance. Not too high that you have to lean backwards, and not too low that you have to stoop forward (do not adjust the height of the handles whilst standing on the foot platforms).
Yes. You must hold onto the handles at all times. The handles are there to assist your balance. Do not lean your whole body weight on the handles. Your feet should take your full body weight and be placed centrally on the foot platforms.
It is essential to keep children and pets away from LegMaster when in use.

Pregnancy / Birth

Please seek advice from your doctor on the specific time that is right for you after giving birth.
We would not recommend starting the LegMaster® during your pregnancy. However, if you have been very active before falling pregnant the LegMaster® should be safe to use. Please seek specific advice from your doctor.
Women are always recommended to be as healthy and as fit as they can if they are thinking about getting pregnant. This included eating well and exercising the whole body, but special attention is needed to the pelvic floor which can only benefit from being strong before you get pregnant, to hopefully minimise any weaknesses after giving birth. As always check with your doctor if you have any concerns.

Putting together

Yes. The Leg Master® can easily be made compact and would go under a bed or behind a door. The handle bar is fully detachable. Make sure you tighten any knobs when attaching the bar back on again.

Age / Gender

As with any exercise, please take advice from a medical professional if you are unsure. LegMaster® can be used standing or sitting, so if someone is older and not as confident, then they can exercise sitting on a chair or the side of a bed. Even though LegMaster® is a favourite for women, it has great benefits for men. It can be used by anyone. Strengthening the core muscles, leg muscles and the upper body isn’t gender specific. Many exercises dominated by women like pilates and yoga also benefit men. Challenge your man to 60 seconds on LegMaster® and see the results!

Pelvic Floor

Many women say that they can feel the muscles working from the very first use and that noticeable results follow quickly.

Age / Gender

LegMaster is not recommended if you have had recent knee surgery or have sustained a knee injury. Please check with a medical professional.
Please consult with a medical professional before using LegMaster if you have an injury.
We strongly recommend that you take medical advice from your doctor or physiotherapist if you have an existing injury. Any recovery from injury should be carefully managed by a professional to get you back to full strength. Please explain LegMaster® to your medical professional and ask their advice before use. Refer them to this website for information. We cannot make claims that LegMaster® will speed recovery as injuries can be complex and very diverse.

Safety

Your leg muscles probably will not have experienced this type of exercise for a long time (or at all). It is therefore sensible to start slowly and progressively and build the time you spend on LegMaster and the number of sweeps. Your muscles will tire very easily at first and this is normal. If you feel excessive muscle soreness the following day then give yourself an extra day of rest before resuming the program.
Stop using LegMaster immediately. Lie down and rest if possible and try again the following day. If you continue to feel dizzy, then please consult with a medical professional before using LegMaster again.
We strongly recommend using proper footwear at all times when using LegMaster. Almost all exercise requires appropriate footwear to prevent injury and to support your feet/body weight, especially when using equipment with moving parts. Do NOT wear high-heeled shoes when using this equipment.

It is purely whatever time is most convenient to you. Bear in mind it is regular daily use that produces the best results. Place your unit in your bedroom and use it before going to bed, or put it in your kitchen and hop on and off of it regularly for short bursts throughout the day. Challenge anyone to use LegMaster® for the first time for 60 seconds. They will soon love the workout it gives and realise it is working hard to reach muscles. Tips

Loose-fitting clothing especially around the hips and upper thighs is necessary. Obviously gym gear and lycra leggings are fine. Tight skirts will impede and restrict movement.

No. This shows Leg Master® is doing its job! Any new exercise will tire the muscles it targets. If you don’t normally use those muscles, then exercising them will make them ache. The natural process of strengthening will take place over time. Let your body give feedback on when to take it easy. Aching muscles during and after exercise is a good sign. It means the LegMaster® has targeted hard to reach muscles you haven’t been able to work. Your strength will increase and the aches should be much reduced as your core muscles become stronger.

What to Expect

No. Summers LegMaster will only tone, shape, and strengthen. There is not a constant progressive overload which is necessary to build ‘body building’ muscles. You will not get big bulky legs. The opposite will occur and your legs will tone and shape to their best natural outline.
